BEST PLATFORMS TO SOURCE GOVERNMENT TENDERS

Updated: Jan 25, 2024

Keep in mind that the landscape for government tenders may change, so it's essential to verify the current status of these platforms. As of my last update in January 2022, here are some platforms that are commonly used for sourcing tenders in the US and Canada:

United States:

  1. Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) - beta.SAM.gov:

Website: beta.sam.gov

Main platform for federal government procurement opportunities in the United States.

Provides information on federal contracts and grants.

  1. State and Local Government Purchasing Websites:

Each state and local government may have its own procurement website where tenders are posted. For example, in California, you have Cal eProcure (caleprocure.ca.gov), and in Texas, there's the Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD) (esbd.cpa.state.tx.us).

Canada:

  1. Buyandsell.gc.ca:

Main platform for federal procurement opportunities in Canada.

  1. Provincial and Municipal Government Websites:

Each province and territory, as well as many municipalities, will have their own procurement portals. For example, in Ontario, you have MERX (merx.com), and in British Columbia, there's BC Bid (bcbid.ca).

  1. BidNet Direct (formerly the Canadian Public Tenders Service):

Provides access to various municipal and regional tenders in Canada.

  1. Biddingo:

Website: biddingo.com

Connects businesses with opportunities from various levels of government in Canada.

Remember to check with the specific government agencies in the jurisdiction you are interested in to ensure you are using the most up-to-date and relevant platforms for tender opportunities.
